In all honesty. I have never been very good at traditional art. I often put pen to paper, but that is most often to jot down an idea. It is very rarely with the intent to improve my proficiency.
One of the biggest projects I've done in recent years, a "medieval" deck of cards. Everything is made to mimic medieval art, fonts, numerals, patina, material, color and techniques. Digital development sent for professional printing.

The nobles and jokers are full art for historical reasons. Each figure meticulously researched, deliberated and hand painted. The jokers are some of my reenactment friends.
